Eczema vs Psoriasis vs Rosacea: What are the similarities and differences?

I have seen this being asked so many times: What is Eczema? What is Psoriasis? What is Rosacea? Aren't they all the same thing? Well, let's break this down:

Blurb about eczema and the symptoms on a marble background

Eczema or Atopic Dermatitis is the inflammation of the skin, the symptoms are itchiness, dark or red patches depending on your skin tone, dryness, and bumpiness. It usually occurs most often in children but can happen at any e.g., Due to Covid-19, more people have been using alcohol-based sanitizer and washing their hands a lot without adding any moisturizer, causing them to get hand eczema.)

Blurb about Psoriasis and the symptoms

Psoriasis is where skin cells form and build up causing itchy, scaly patches. It is thought to be an immune disease because the most common triggers are stress, colds, and infections. People with psoriasis have skin cells that multiply 10 times faster than people without it.

Blurb about Rosacea and the symptoms

Rosacea is a condition that affects the face where the skin turns red very quickly and can have tiny pus-filled bumps. This affects more commonly middle-aged women and is often misdiagnosed as acne.  If left untreated, it can cause significant skin damage and can even affect the eyes.

So, as you can see eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis are pretty different from one another, but they do have some similarities such as they all cause discoloration and open wounds of the skin. Let me know in the comments below whether this has helped or if you have had any experience with any of these skin diseases.
